Research is a systematic, organized, and scientific process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information to answer questions, solve problems, or generate new knowledge. It is a structured way of finding reliable answers through careful investigation and evidence.
Research methodology refers to the overall strategy, principles, and procedures used to conduct research. It includes the methods, techniques, tools, and processes used to collect and analyze data in a logical and systematic manner. It promotes evidence-based practice, improves drug development knowledge, enhances critical thinking skills by which students develop the ability to analyze clinical data, interpret results, and question findings logically and encourages
innovation.
This workshop has been structured to provide you with a strong foundation in research methodology and research design, introduce you to various data collection tools, and offer practical, hands-on training in SPSS – an essential software for data analysis and interpretation.
Over the course of the next three days, you will acquire meaningful knowledge and practical insights designed to enhance your research skills, refine your analytical abilities, and better prepare you to meet both academic expectations and professional demands.

Vote of Thanks:
Good afternoon, esteemed resource person, and my dear colleagues.
It is my pleasure to stand before you today at the conclusion of this enriching “Three day workshop on Research Methodology and SPSS hands-on experience”. Over the past three days, we have embarked on a journey of learning, exploration, and practical application.
The hands-on SPSS sessions were particularly valuable. It is one thing to understand statistical concepts in theory, but it is entirely different to apply them to real data. These sessions allowed us to learn by doing—analyzing datasets, running descriptive and inferential statistics, interpreting outputs, and drawing meaningful conclusions. Such practical exposure empowers us to confidently approach our research projects and publications in the future.
I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the resource persons, Dr. D.K. Lal Das, for their expert guidance, patience, and for making complex concepts accessible and interesting. Your practical insights and encouragement have truly enriched our learning experience.
I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the organizing Team: Dr. S Adeeb Mujtaba Ali, Dr. Umair Wahedi, Ms. Roqayya Aimun, and myself Dr. Subhana Tasneem and, for putting together this meticulously planned workshop, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
I am thankful to faculty from Deccan School of Pharmacy, Dr. Maryam and Dr. Zeenath for their active engagement in the workshop.
Once again, thank you all for making this workshop a memorable and enriching experience. I wish everyone success in their future research endeavors and may the spirit of inquiry and learning we have nurtured here continue to guide us.
Thank you.
