Good afternoon dear all,

On behalf of SEMRC, it gives me immense pleasure to warmly welcome all the esteemed faculty members and Dear Masters students of Hospital Management from Deccan School of Management to the One-Day Workshop on “Writing Research Proposal” being organized on 3rd February, 2026. A research proposal is a structured, formal document that outlines what one plans to research, why it is important, and how the study will be conducted i.e., the research methodology. It aims to convince supervisors of universities, or committees, or funding organizations that the project is relevant, feasible, and worthy of approval. It acts as a roadmap for the research, ensuring that the study is manageable and well-thought-out. To get the most out of this workshop, I urge everyone to participate actively and seek answers to their questions. I believe these takeaways will be instrumental in your academic and/or research pursuits.

I extend my sincere thanks to all the faculty members and students for being part of this program. I now take this opportunity to respectfully invite our esteemed resource person, Dr. D. K. Lal Das, to grace the dais and commence the session.

On behalf of SEMRC, we are deeply grateful to Dr. D. K. Lal Das for a masterful session on research proposal writing. His practical guidance and clear expertise will leave a lasting impression on the students. I also want to commend our students for their vibrant engagement and insightful questions, which transformed this session into a truly dynamic learning experience. With these words, I formally conclude this One-Day Workshop on “Writing Research Proposal”. Tomorrow, we would meet for the next One-Day Workshop on “Writing Research Paper”.
