Valedictory Speech
Good afternoon, respected dignitaries, esteemed resource persons, and my dear colleagues, it gives me immense pleasure to stand before you today at the conclusion of this enriching “three-day workshop on Research Methodology and SPSS hands-on experience”. Over the past three days, we have embarked on a journey of learning, exploration, and practical application. Research is often called the backbone of knowledge. But as we all know, knowledge alone is not enough—what matters is how we systematically collect, analyze, and interpret it. This workshop has provided us with a unique blend of theoretical understanding of research methodology and practical skills to implement those using SPSS, one of the most powerful tools for statistical analysis. From day one, we delved into the fundamentals of research design, sampling techniques, hypothesis formulation, and data collection methods. The sessions were not just informative but also engaging, allowing us to clarify our doubts, share our experiences, and understand the nuances of conducting rigorous research. The hands-on SPSS sessions were particularly valuable. It is one thing to understand statistical concepts in theory, but it is entirely different to apply them to real data. These sessions allowed us to learn by doing—analyzing datasets, running descriptive and inferential statistics, interpreting outputs, and drawing meaningful conclusions. Such practical exposure empowers us to confidently approach our research projects and publications in the future. I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the resource persons, Dr. D.K. Lal Das, for their expert guidance, patience, and for making complex concepts accessible and interesting. Your practical insights and encouragement have truly enriched our learning experience. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the organizing Team: Myself: Dr. S Adeeb Mujtaba Ali, Dr. Umair Wahedi, Ms. Roqqayya Aimun, Ms. Subhana Tasneem and HR Team, for putting together this meticulously planned workshop, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. And of course, to my fellow participants—thank you for your enthusiasm, curiosity, and active participation, which made this workshop a vibrant learning community. As we conclude this workshop, let us not see it as the end, but as a beginning. The knowledge and skills we have gained here are tools that will enhance the quality of our research, improve our analytical abilities, and strengthen our contributions to our respective fields. I encourage each one of us to apply these learnings, keep exploring, and continue growing as researchers. Once again, thank you all for making this workshop a memorable and enriching experience. I wish everyone success in their future research endeavors and may the spirit of inquiry and learning we have nurtured here continue to guide us. Thank you.
At this moment, we are honored to invite our esteemed guest, Dr. Aleem Ahmed Khan, Associate Professor, Salar-E-Millat Research Lab, to share the valedictory note and grace this occasion with his valuable insights. Following the valedictory address, [he/she/they] will also kindly distribute the certificates to all the participants who have successfully completed this three-day workshop on Research Methodology and SPSS.
May I request Dr. Aleem Ahmed Khan to kindly come forward and address the gathering.
