Welcome Note:
Good Morning dear all,
I, on behalf of SEMRC, warmly welcome back all the esteemed faculty members and Dear Masters students of Hospital Management from Deccan School of Management to the Three-Day Workshop on Statistics Skills, being organized on 4th, 5th, 6th March, 2026. Statistics plays a crucial role in the field of healthcare management. Professionals are constantly required to interpret data, analyze trends, and make evidence-based decisions that improve patient care and healthcare systems.
Statistics skills are not just an academic requirement—they are practical tools that help in healthcare research, hospital planning, quality assessment, and policy development. Whether you are evaluating patient outcomes or conducting research studies, statistics helps transform raw numbers into meaningful insights.
This workshop has been designed to strengthen your understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and to help you apply them in real-world healthcare situations. Throughout the session, we will focus on practical examples, simple explanations, and interactive discussions so that statistics becomes easier and more useful for your academic work and future careers.
I encourage all of you to actively participate, ask questions, and make the most of this learning opportunity. By the end of this workshop, I hope you will feel more confident in using statistical tools in your research and professional practice.
I now request Dr.D.K. Lal Das Sir, our esteemed resource person, to commence today’s session.
Thank you and I wish you all a very engaging and productive workshop.
